Although PET strapping cannot and will never completely replace steel strapping, it is considered particularly future-proof and a real alternative for a wide range of strapping purposes.
The benefits are obvious: PET strap is lightweight, does not rust, is UV resistant for decades and has excellent elongation properties. These are all important aspects that give plastic a significant role in strapping technology.
Last but not least, the strap is made of 100% recycled material. We also use the material extremely efficiently because the waste generated during processing is completely returned to the production process.
At our production site in Goch, we use ultra-modern technologies that ensure the production of first-class PET strapping for Germany, Europe and the world.
From the raw material supplied, the so-called flakes, to the finished strap, the material goes through a complex process with various stations that gives the finished product the necessary properties such as strength, stability and elastic elongation.
The site of PWL KG in Goch produces strap every day with a width ranging from 9 to 32 mm and a thickness between 0.6 and 1.65 mm. The finished strap is delivered in coils, the largest of which holds almost 30,000 metres of PET strap and weighs around 350 kg.
